Watson Farley is still a youngish firm in legal terms, formed in 1982 when the City was a very different place. As well as shipping and ship finance, the firm’s initial focus was on aviation and leasing finance, offshore oil and gas contracting, and tax. Although it has diversified the firm’s key area of expertise is still asset finance (particularly shipping).
The commencing salary for trainees in September 2010 is £35,000. This is reviewed annually.
